Dr Anthony Weinert, also known as “The Sole Doctor” in Detroit and surrounding communities, along with his Shoe Pantry Plus distributed over 70 pairs of brand new shoes and socks to homeless Veteran men and women at the Emmanuel House in Detroit.
Dr Anthony Weinert, a Michigan board certified foot surgeon and known in the community as the “Sole Doctor”, is founder and CEO of a 501c3 non-profit organization called Shoe Pantry Plus. The foundation was established in order to help the homeless, disabled, veterans, and low income men, women, and children in Detroit, Flint and surrounding communities. Dr Weinert plans on growing the Shoe Pantry Plus and have it established in every US state and eventually into Canada.
The Shoe Pantry Plus provides brand new shoes, boots, and socks for those in need to help keep their feet dry, warm, and protected especially during the cold weather months. The “Sole Doctor” believes in giving “brand new” shoes, boots, and socks because everyone is deserving of having their own new footwear which fits perfectly to their feet and will eventually have wear patterns consistent with their own foot mechanics and gait.
Let’s work together to support the Shoe Pantry Plus endeavors and provide assistance to those in need.
Please help to spread the word to family, friends, and community businesses in helping to give back. Working together to help others, we can ALL make a difference in this world. Thank you for your Support!
